A few days ago, I posted to twitter.com that the Chicago Cocoa scene wasn’t for me. Since then I’ve gotten a few DMs from people wondering “what’s wrong with the Chicago Cocoa scene?”
Thanks to the 140 limit on twitter, it’s difficult to give proper context around a statement. It was kind of irresponsible of me to say that with no context, so let me clarify:
The Chicago Cocoa scene is a great bunch of folks. But I live way too far out of the way, and driving over an hour to go to a small social hangout for a few hours, it’s just not worth the time, especially considering I have 3 kids who I usually only see at night time.
So, in a nutshell, the people in the Chicago Cocoa scene are great people, and fun to chillax with, but I live too far to make the visits worth it.
